Bricklin & Newman, LLP attorneys focus on environmental, land use law, and energy facility siting, with additional emphasis in easements, property damage (e.g. landslides, contaminated wells), toxic torts, green building, condemnation, and Native American issues. We are licensed to practice in Washington and Oregon and can work in other states when special arrangements are made.

The firm represents environmental organizations, individuals, corporations, developers, and local governments in a wide variety of environmental and land use issues including local development permits, Environmental Impact Statements, Clean Water Act violations, Clean Air Act violations, and siting of energy facilities. Bricklin & Newman attorneys have also litigated numerous issues unique to Tribes and Native Americans. The attorneys at Bricklin & Newman have appeared in many different forums, including administrative hearings before city and county hearing examiners and legislative bodies, the Growth Management Hearings Boards, the Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council, the Pollution Control Hearings Boards, the Shoreline Hearings Boards, the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals, Tribal Court, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Washington State Courts (Superior, Appellate and Supreme Court), and Federal Court (District Court, Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court).
